It’s always a great feeling to be able to have your family and friends visit you and yours at your home. Every home is special in its own way and opening your home to others allows you to share what’s unique about your space. This month, all three organizations within our Continuum of Care were fortunate to be able to welcome some special friends – both old and new – into our homes.
On June 4th, we welcomed our dear friends North Street Community Partners and His Eminence Timothy M. Dolan for a special ceremony at our White Plains campus. “A Celebration of Gratitude,” gave us the opportunity not only to thank North Street Community Partners for their generous donation of the 317 North Street building and property, which houses the John A. Coleman School and the Children’s Rehabilitation Center, but also to celebrate having a permanent home for the Coleman School and the Children’s Rehab Center for the very first time … ever!
At the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, we held our 1st Block Party on June 21st, which was a fantastic success! Over 500 family members, friends and supporters in the community came to spend a fun afternoon with our residents, right here in Yonkers. Everyone had a blast visiting our residents and seeing their home, establishing this as an annual event for our children, their families and our community!
