After referrals for admissions are received, each child is assessed by a nurse. A parent tour of the facility is highly recommended. Each application is reviewed by the Admission Committee to determine whether the child is appropriate for the facility and whether his/her needs can be met. If the referral is appropriate for the admission, the referring agency is notified of the decision and a date of admission is set.
